ED. GEMBRUCH, SOLINGEN
A 1933 PATTERN HOLBEIN DRESS DAGGER FOR THE GERMAN N.S.K.K., issue number R84/17210,
circa 1935, with cleaned double edged 8 3/4in. blade etched with the motto ' ALLES FUR DEUTSCHLAND' (everything for Germany), makers mark to the reverse, brown wooden grip inlaid with an eagle and swastika and the 'SA' roundel to top of hilt (old inlet repair and age cracks, re-varnished), solid nickel fittings with area stamp 'Ho' (Hockland) and its service issue number 'R84/17210', complete with its black painted metal scabbard with number repeated to the nickel throat
